Sunday River Santa Day

Sunday River Santa Day, December 8, 2002

We trekked out to Sunday River in Maine for their Annual Santa Day festivities this weekend. Santas ski for $10 on Santa Day and also receive 2 lift ticket vouchers for participating in the photo shoot. Not a bad deal. We had fun giggling at Jon.

Of course, as you will note as you scroll down, there were several points in the event where we couldn't find him. You'd think a tall guy wearing a Santa suit on skis would be easy to find. Um, no. Over 240 Santas of all shapes, sizes, ages and genders participated...

Preparing...	Does my hair look okay?	Fidgeting to get it just right
And now, let's add the beard.	aha! It's Santa! (You can tell by the Santa Hat)
Meanwhile, outside...	All the jolly elves are milling about
Look! He's totally Santa!	Yep. Definitely Santa.

hey... Is that a reindeer?	hmm... Perhaps he'll carry his skiis up the small hill.
Santas Unite!	Santas Untie!
Hmm... Those aren't really santa pants.	more Santa	Lots more Santa
Try to find Jon.
	From above	Over 240 Santas participated
	And now... to the lift lines!	Lift lines during the holidays are hell, even for Santa
Look at the lines!	and up they go!
and down they come
	at this point we have no idea where Jon is.
	Jon???? Where are you?
Hmm... is he down there yet?		Anyone seen my brother? He's tall, wearing a Santa suit...
Aha! There he is!	Santa survived. Although he did get cut off by a snowboarder in the pack...
